THE REAL YOU

After one complete year I have picked up blog writing. Last year January was the last time I wrote about things I wanted to do in 2014. Well most of it I could not but few of them I did. I am not sure what made me stopped writing, but I think I have become more conscious of what people will say about what I write.

Is it not a very common thing that we all go through? That what will people say about us. What will they think if I do this or if I do that?  I somewhere feel that after we reach a certain age we need to be very considerate of what we do, how we react, with whom we talk and in what way, how we do things, what career choices we make, how we live our personal life etc. etc. There is a set way to behave . . . or I should say a set way to live life which at a certain point is acceptable but I feel it as well brings down few people’s originality.

From childhood we know what we are expected to do and at what age. If things do not go that way then there is something wrong with you or your life. And if you follow a step by step process of living life then you are on a right track. I will never be able to understand this concept of living life but that’s okay. Not everything in this life needs explanation.

Tell me one thing can you really live life as a step by step process? No right! Life is uncertain and it comes with uncertain turns, uncertain years, uncertain dreams, uncertain friends, uncertain moments and uncertain everything. Then how can people expect that everybody’s life should be the same? That is the most unrealistic thing in the world. Not everyone‘s life is similar. Though it looks like but it is not. Not everyone earns the same, not everyone live the same, not everyone dreams the same way, and not everyone’s passion is at equal level. So, in short I want to say that there is no comparison between any one at all.  There is nothing like ‘he is more successful than him’ or ‘he is happier than him’ or ‘he has achieved more than him’. There is no comparison at all. May be the person who achieved less is more happy than the person who achieved more? May be a person is satisfied with what he have and the other one is never satisfied?

At the end the only thing that matter is how much you lived life as the way “you wanted to” and not “how others wanted you to”. That is what life is. . .  Memories are all we take and to build those memories you need to live life your way. It applies to me as well. I need to do what I want to but somewhere I am not. I am not living the life the way I want to. I feel I have lost my real self somewhere in this world. Somewhere with the way people think, somewhere I have started to act which I don’t want to.
But somewhere I know I am there . . . and somewhere we all have lost our real self that only we can find!

P.S: I am writing after one year so is there are any editing mistakes, wrong usage of grammar then ignore. Do comment!

Inspiration, Happiness and Success.

I was thinking today, infact this thought comes to my mind very often that why are we not satisfied with our life? I mean I can’t generalize but I can say most of us are not happy with where we are and what we are.  Most of the people try to be happy and satisfied by external factors and internally they have a sense of dissatisfaction. I gave it a deeper thought and realized we always want more. . . I mean more and more. When someone wants to achieve so much it’s because he is not satisfied with his present state or looking at others he feel small and so strive for better. May be few people are very passionate about doing something but they surely demand “Importance and appreciation” in return.

Let us understand it a little better. Let us talk about someone who wants to be famous, and who wants to be on the top; someone who is really passionate and works really hard to beat others. Now, when he works hard, and strives for success - what does he actually want in return? Is it just the success? If yes then how will he be successful?  So, let’s say he was able to do what he wanted to do in life but still he is not happy.

Can anyone guess why?

Here is the thought process that goes along with success.

Success has different meaning and dimension to different people. For some success is as simple as earning two times bread and meal, having a family, kids, and a routine life. These are the people who believe success is raising kids and taking care of them. These are the people who think about family first and then about others. For them it does not matter that how much Anil Ambani or Angelina Jolie is earning but for them what is important is what is that their kids want and how to complete their kids’ education in a good college.

Now let’s talk about other kind of people – The one who always wants to be successful but their definition of success is completely different from what I have mentioned above.

When they say they want to be successful, then for them life is beyond wedding, wife/husband, kids and their family.  For them success is comparing with others and be on the top notch. For them success is “Appreciation” and “Importance”. Also for them success is huge fan following and people telling them that they are a role model. If they do not get all this then they consider themselves “Not so successful compared to others”. So if you don’t appreciate them, or they don’t get importance they will probably do something else that helps them to achieve that.

What is the basis difference between two kinds of people?

The first kinds are Internal driven, and does not depend on others to call themselves successful.
While the second kind of people are the one who are externally driven. They need a lot of praise from others to consider that they are actually successful.

With this post I just wanted to tell one thing – Your Life is your life. If someone considers you a failure then you are not at all answerable to them. You decide your priority and you decide what success means to you.

Talking about inspiration we all have different inspirations in life that motivates us to do things and follow our dream. Not necessarily that your inspiration should be actor, or a writer or a famous business person but inspiration can be anyone who just motivates you to do things in life – things can be as small as cooking or as big as becoming an actor.

Inspiration can be anyone – even a factory worker can be your inspiration who teaches you that hard work is important in life. A house wife can be your inspiration who teaches you to sacrifice and becoming a mother leaving her aspirations aside. A not so successful person (unsuccessful in your yes) can be your inspiration if he is happy for what he is.

If you are happy in what you have, no matter how small it is, then no one is more successful than you. And if you are not happy even after you have so much then no one is unhappy than you. Leave aside this show off where people show their cricket match passes, or restaurants pics, or their new watch. Believe me we all do the same things what others are doing, just that for some appreciation is needed at every step to grow while others are just self-motivated. The more you be on the self-side the more happy and composed you are.

So I would conclude this with few things:

1.       You define what you are.
2.       You define your aspirations and dreams.
3.       You define what you want to achieve in life.
4.       You define your success.
5.       You define your happiness.
6.       Last but not the least – you define your LIFE.

You know who you are, so stop pretending it to others who don’t know who you are!
