Posting a letter - Someday, someday.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014. It’s 2014 and this is my first article for this year (First, hoping not the last). I have been writing this article from few weeks now and still writing after three weeks of drafts. It’s 12:25 AM and Arvind Kejriwal is the new chief minister for 6 months atleast after winning the Trust votes from congress.  Few say it’s a good decision and few say that he couldn’t stand on his words. Yes, Kejriwal said that he won’t take support from either congress or BJP and would stand in opposition if needed. What I feel will be included in the next article that I am writing specifically on Arvind Kejriwal and his decision.

So it’s 2014, and till now I don’t feel anything different except the fact that I am year older, and close to oldness. Also, I feel the date is different and rest everything is the same. I feel one year actually passed quickly. I wanted this year to get over soon, so that I can enter in 2014, but this year got over pretty quickly. I think the reason time is passing so quickly is because of the things we are engaged in. In older times, there was no internet, no laptop, no latest equipment’s or IPad. So when they didn’t had all the referred things, people used to get more time with themselves and talking to people around them. The few things that they had to do were go for work, come back, listen to radio or watch T.V. when it was there, have food and then go for walk, or chat.

Another interesting thing that used to happen at that time was writing letters and posting them to relatives. These days there is no time to write letter or post them as people just ping and talk or chat for a while. I think that I will write atleast 2 letters a month and will post it to my close friends or mom, or relatives to get in touch with them instead of phone or internet.  But with the kind of lifestyle that we are in, it gets difficult to get out of the comfort zone and do such things. I told my mother last time when I visited her that I will write a letter and post it to you so that you can feel the handwriting and keep it for memory but I bet haven’t written a single letter.

Having said all that I haven’t made any resolution this year, but I have made few goals and plan to achieve them, hopefully.

1.       To join Gym or do Yoga everyday! I know not going to happen as routine keeps changing due to office timings and then takes time to get back to the old routine.  But I will try.

2.       To join Teach for India, or MAD after going back to Hyderabad.

3.       To complete my next novel and get it published.

4.       To visit Goa!

5.       To do an Art of living course in Bangalore.

6.       To visit my Granny’s or Nani’s home.

7.       To go to Jalandhar and Jaipur (or whole of Rajasthan) before moving back to Hyderabad.

8.       To visit Calcutta in Durga Pujo to my friend’s place.

9.       To plan a trip to Dubai or Singapore or Andaman Nicobar with my family.

10.   The most. Important.  – I can’t reveal that right now. But will let you know once done.

With that I am hoping 2014 will FLY! I know I have very less time to do what I want to! I feel I am growing old a little quickly. But that’s okay. I just ask god to give me the courage and help me letting me in do what I actually want to do and not ‘what I have to do because of pressure’.

I remember it was few days ago when I wrote a blog last year welcoming 2013 and today I am writing a blog welcoming 2014. Too quick. Time need to take some time.

Read the book published if haven't yet.
