India and Incredible ? oh ya!

I bet you that staying in India is a big task. You have to make yourself ready for all the tragedies. Why tragedies? because they are! Holy shit, they are pure tragedies. Tragedy is something that happens out of the blue moon, anytime of the day, even when you don't expect something to happen. Tragedy is something..something..that disturbs you, your mind, suck your blood, break you silence, beat your pleasure and then give a devil smile and say " he ha..now live". In India, every moment can be called as a tragedy,...if..hold on..In India, every moment can be called a tragedy if you don't follow what i say..(heha A devil laugh). I am serious. Do as i say, or you are gonna feel the pain of staying in India. okay, i am sorry i am being a narcissist. back to what i was saying; i have faced few things, i should call it tragedies, still i haven't learned from them. I try hard, but assume that it won't happen again in our lovely India but India is full of surprises. I am sure people staying in india would agree with me.

Sooo from my basket of experiences here are few things that you should do when in India. :

# Morning eight : Mom shouted from the kitchen, Amy please go and get some milk, last night it got spoil. I said sure mom. Did i say like this? No, i made few faces, and scolded her that why don't she buy few extra packets and store them . huh. Still since i wanted the morning Tea, in such cold temperature, i pick the bike keys. I again heard a voice..Don't take your bike, the grocery store is near by, you should walk a bit and move your butt. She continued saying your generation kids are lazy and are gonna suffer when reach at our age and bla bla bla...I moved out of the house. I think she must have kept talking for a while after i left. yeah thats how my mom does. Walking on the road, i reached the nearest grocery store. And...and and...guess what ? can you? yes..it was CLOSED. I asked somone, why is it closed. They said ' Madam, aaj chunav ko lekar hadtal hain na, isiliye saari dukane band rahegi ' (Mam, since we have voting going on, and because of political protest all the shops will be closed today)

Now, can you imagine my condition. Morning, sorry early morning for me, my only wish was to have a cup of tea. Did i ask too much? and for that i had to struggle so much. Fine..that is also okay..but political protest? I mean that is crazy...what should i do. With a small face, cursing the politics, Indian leaders, the illiteracy, the poor ppl and the country I realized...

If in India, always have few extra for every thing. Be it milk, sugar, tea, vegetables, onions (you never know when the prices can go up, its just like stock market) and try having substitutes of the products, like for milk, have milk powder for emergency. If you wanna try Milk powder, try using Amulya, product of Amul. That is good. :P

# Hey Amrita (my senior called me up). Oh ya he is on rotation to united states. I picked up the call. Looking at the time i realized he is gonna ask me to stretch. Since it was Eleven in the night and it was time for me to go home. He said that i will have to stay a bit longer as he have some meetings, and then he needs me to complete some work after he is free. I very politely said ' Is it fine if i log in from home? I will reach in ten minutes, and will work from home. He was fine with it and rushed for the meeting. Came home, it exactly took ten minutes for me. Logged in and tried connecting to the internet. Something was wrong and guess what was it?  I shouted...I knew it..i knew its gonna happen. When i need internet the most..when i am hanging on the tree with tic and tac..internet won't work. I was awake until three in the morning. But India in india, it was not working still. I hardly closed the upper side of the laptop that made a kind of loud noice ( dupp). I didn't bother. oh when did it start working? Not until i left for office the other day. Terrible!!!

So number two is : Never ever rely on one service provider for internet services, if you have a WiFi, have a data cable because you are gonna need it surely every alternate day. And if you are addicted to Blogging, better have one.

# I decided, mind it I Decided, but you know whatever i decide won't happen if in india. So i was going a bit late everyday and so thought, will surely go on time from tomorrow..Whatsoever happens. Be it tide, or hurricanes. :P. Got up early, and then quickly switched on the geyser (oh ya,india most of the people still used the electric geyser, especially people like us who stays in a rented apartment), when i switched it on, i was not able to see the red light that indicates that water is getting heated. Switched it off and on..Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr there was no power!! !! !! yesss...and can you guess when did it came? three in the afternoon. Since i did not charged my laptop as well, it was dead. egghhh.! Heights of frustation i tell you.

So number four is always keep an alternate for hot water, and your laptops, mobiles and any other electronic devices fully charged. Remember, work on any device by plugging it to the charging point. Because you never know, its India after all...

# Well i don't have a story for this, and even if i have i can't share it. :P Number four is always keep a bucket full of water to be on the safe side. otherwise one day you will get up, and see there is no water coming in the tap, or in the shower or anywhere in the house.

# If in India, going on time is always twenty minutes after the actual time. So if someone says, i was on time assume that on time is twenty minutes late. And if someone says he came before time, that is on Time.

# We Indians have a tendency to stick on to our own words, and always assume that the other person is wrong. So what ever we say, say its correct. Do not argue, or tell us your opinion because we are not interested.

# Remember! be it a five stat hotel or a simple locality, the back side is gonna be full of garbage because indians usually throw the things that they don't want in the backside open area where the house is still building, or if its a barren land. you know we like to keep our HOME clean! we are cleanliness freak.

# Always be ready for unexpected incidences, like..burning of local train at Mumbai station, or a child falling down into the dig (believe me he became more famous than the president of India) or like, the petrol price hike, or how the Ministers threw Bata footwear's on each other while discussing a topic in the parliament, or like a husband slapped his wife for putting salt in the food( This is gonna be the breaking news on all the indian television news channels), or the murder of a man who was not so called famous,! uf.

So, watching news channel is like fun for people and breaking news is something that actually breaks you into pieces and burst out the laugh!

Inspite of all these tragedies, we all love our country and have a great respect!

P.S: Also we are damn proud about Taj mahal although we haven't visited yet and follow traditions strictly at home. Yes at Home. Outside we don't know what it stands for.
