I wonder, is it only me who think, that whatever i write is all bulls shit, crap, and just disgusting with no meaning. Is it only me, who think, that people are not at all interested in reading my blog? or any post , or any article i write? Is it only me, who feels, the articles are just words and nothing more? Is it only me, who when read others article, or visit someone's blog, wonder, " OMG, the blog looks awesome, and see the number of posts, the followers, comparing with mine? Asking the question, why don't i have these many followers, ? what is soooo special in this bloody picture that it has promoted by 500 odd people? I mean common, my posts are better, faaarrrrrrrrr better than this person's? okay, enough of bitching i guess.. Oh no, not yet i have some more points to point out to the bloggers. Has it happen to others( ofcourse including me), that okay, i think i am not at all fit for this blogging and all, I should better focus on the one liner's on the FB and or Twitter( The tweet bird) P.S.: well i really find the bird really really cute. P.P.S : i know post script has to be used at the end. But thats okay, It's my post and i can write it the way i want.
okay, back to the topic. you know this is the worst habit in my, i wanna write on something, and my mind will have thousand thoughts running, that distracts the flow. ugh! i have to improve! okay, so, I know many of us think , that we can't write and that, we should stop irritating people by our posts, and we should keep our thoughts to ourselves as you don't get the likes expected. Right? Are you also the one who comes under the category of " So you think, you can't write?" Well if yes, here are few tips and tricks to be followed when you are writing, or when you get through this thought.
1. Think of something original. Well when i say original, means, don;t peep into others blog( well, this gonna be my second point, but never mind if i mentioned it in the first one), and try to connect it to your post. you see love on some blog, and try to write on that, you see some invention and decide, oh yes, even i can write on invention. yeah! No, not all all. Don't do that ever.The main purpose of blogging is to share your thoughts, remember YOUR, its you what people want to know. It's what you think matters here, and not what others like, or on what topic i will get the most likes. A blog shows your personality, and so it should show your emotions, be it happy or sad, be it good or bad, be it wierd, or old, or new or religious or whatever. Remember again, originality of thoughts, originality of you, that is what makes you perfect. and that is what the first Criteria to become a blogger.
I would say : Be original, be the best! is the first main point you have to keep it mind.
2. As i already mentioned it in the first point : DO NOT peep into other blog's ,pages, and articles. Mind me, reading and peeping are two different things. I am talking about the later one. Do not peep. Again i will say, exploring is different than peeping. You can surely have a look, at the articles, the followers, the positives, the negatives, the Template used. But don't start replicating the things, thinking " Wowww, the template is awesome, let me change mine. Nope, never. See, appreciate, and move on. Come back to your page. So i would say:
Do not peep, just explore and appreciate.
3. No, not at all. I don't believe you do that.. Just don't judge your posts or an article by the number of likes, or comments, or How many of them promoted your post on Indiblogger( Well, that is what even i do). But that's a big NO, NO . why? well i have a reason. Likes have a logic and so do comments. Although people might be reading your blog, and your articles, but may not be 'liking' or 'commenting' as they are lazy to do so. or may be people are reading, but think, " oh common, how does it matters to him/her if i like. He anyways writes good, and i am sure he must be aware of it( I know wrong perception, can't help it). or the most important point, they must be thinking( I am sure many do) that what if he gets more likes, comments, or followers? what if he gets more popular on Indiblogger or on FB? What if people stop promoting my blog? and last but not the least, few thinks, "oh common, what am i even getting promoting somebody's post. Forget it. I am getting my share and i am happy." So imagine, if you think you can't write and people don't like your post, there are plenty of reasons for that.
So a BIG NoNo to deciding your capability on the basis of likes, and the promotion!
4. Short and sweetu : Well yes, this is something you can do surely. Remember you are writing a blog, and a blog is something quick. Where reader's wanna have a quick look at your article, and read it real quick, and just get that punch in a mile second. So try not to write 5000 words article where people can't complete it, and leave it half read. Always remember, its not the quantity, its the quality.
So, it should be short and sweet for sure!
5. I mentioned in point 4, about the punch in the article, where the reader is forced to get in the actual reading because something excites him. Well what can be that something? That something can be, most importantly, A UNIQUE Title!!! Yes, the title. it should be something that makes the reader click on your post, and atleast help him to get started read the blog. Always try that title keeps the suspense of the main content.
SO the Title should be Tiled awesomely!
and finally last, but not the least, on the list is :

ReplyDeletei agree as many good blog posts and blogs are going un-noticed, as they really do not reach the wider audience .. unlike big websites where a picture of vidya balan , saying " meet the dirty girl" gets lot of likes..
there are audience for those type of posts.
But again to mention the people who write original unique quality content will win in the long run..
you need to focus on how to make your blog available to wider audience also.
